![]() ![]() ![]() If they can fix that I am buying in for a year. I am posting now about the aggressive auto fill. They have a sub reddit they respond to rapidly as well. Twitter and Facebook support options are amazing and you will get a response from a pro at anytime in Minutes. 1password has insanely good support though. I dunno about bitwarden but lastpass always had horrible customer support. This was moot to me because I use Google authenticator for everything except steam (I use their own Auth in the app). It does not have the ability to be a 2fa like lastpass though. You have 2fa options in all 3 but you don't need it in 1password because of the whole key thing. Might wind up being a deal breaker for me. It would fix my issue if I could do this. On Android you are suppose to be able to turn it off and on with an accessability option. It's easy enough to dismiss but I don't like it. You can be in a searchbar and it will ask you if you want to auto fill. So unlike lastpass you can just click a button in the field and then save it after completing an account or changing a password. You have to make a site save before you can generate a password. Random password generation is not that great in 1password. They all work really well for 95% of what you do. It has plug-ins for edge, Android, and Firefox. You can use biometrics and windows hello no worries. The windows app and android app are really good. You can just use tags and have 1 Vault though. If you do this though you have to export each Vault separately. You can set up multiple vaults which means you can keep work, personal, ect all separated. Groups in lasspass are saved as tags in 1password so it stays orginized. The transition is super simple, export and import. Makes it easier to lose your data (if you don't have a family account for rescue and you lose your key/password and you don't have it authorized on a device with biometrocs/windows hello you can't recover it). You need to use a key with your master password which grants a crazy amount of security but also some PITA issues. It is semi open source which is good and is reviewed often so security is high that way. The good is no trackers and insanely high security. Which is really bad.ġpassword had a free 14 day trial and a 50% off the first year. For bugs granted but having trackers means less security as you don't control that code. However the deal breaker for me is that it has 2 trackers. The family plan was 5/month which is fine as that's the same as 1password and lastpass. They had self hosting options which was cool. Then the 7 trackers with 2 being ad companies was the Last straw.īitwarden looked good and was open source so more secure. Wanted me to pay for family converting leftover money into it but not the other accounts balance, that could only be used in next year. I used lastpass for like a decade (paid account) but was unhappy after the password breech, then the terrible customer service, then the free account change (affected a roomie), then billing practice (tried to move to family with 3 members, they refused to combine the accounts. I am trying out 1password right now and don't have lots of bitwarden experience. ![]() Which is the best one for my use? Sites and YouTube channels are biased or sponsored. I did pay for LastPass, but I don't feel safe there anymore and Android experience was truly horrible for past 4 months. dark mode (this might look funny, but LastPass burned my eyes at the middle of night and I felt punished for being careful with passwords).similar features that I had with LastPass.working fingerprint verification (LastPass is horrible - although I have under-screen scanner, but that's their fault and job to fix).functional filling on Android (save and fill passwords in apps). This feels like last option to pass out and save the company or satisfy investors. Hello,I don't mean to offend anyone going for Bitwarden - I might go there as well.īut have you considered any other password manager? I paid for LastPass, but when I heard about these changes, I got afraid of what else can happen in future. ![]()
